Glenna’s Watermelon Slushie

Watermelon has essential vitamins like vitamin A, C and B-6. Watermelon is a hydrating fruit (this is great when it’s hot outside). Vitamin C is an antioxidant that helps prevent cell damage from things known as free radicals.

Ingredients:

One and one third cup of chilled watermelon – chopped

One half teaspoon of honey “optional”

How to make:

Chop your watermelon the night before and let it chill in the refrigerator. The next day put your watermelon pieces and honey into a blender and blend for three to five minutes. Blend until you see that the watermelon has become a slushie like consistency. Pour your mixture into a glass jar. I personally like to use a small mason jar. Add a straw into it, drink and Enjoy.

Tip: You can add mint to this recipe or anything else you want to flavor your watermelon slushie. This is a great recipe to make in the summer. This drink will help keep you hydrated in the hot weather.
