Pumpkin Bread

This is an easy bread you can make with canned pumpkin or fresh pumpkin. If made with fresh, you will have to puree it yourself .This bread is soft and cake like. You can also make it into a pumpkin cake if you like.You can easily make this bread in a bread pan or a bundt pan.

Ingredients:

Two cups pureed pumpkin

One cup of brown sugar

One to two teaspoons each of nutmeg, cinnamon and ginger

One cup of evaporated milk

Two cups of flour

Three teaspoons of baking powder

How to make:

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. You will want to first, butter the pan that you are using. Mix your pureed pumpkin, brown sugar, spices and milk together. This is done the same way as when making a pumpkin pie. When it is all mixed well, then add your flour and baking powder. Mix all very well. You want all your flour and baking powder to be incorporated well. At this point the bater is bake worthy. You may now pour your pumpkin bater into your pan.

Bake your pumpkin bread for forty-five to fifty minutes. You can check to see if your bread is done by putting a toothpick or a knife into the bread. If it comes out clean your bread is done.

Prep Time: Ten minutes

Cook Time:Forty-Five to Fifty minutes

Serving Size: One full inch thick slice
